Too Many Texts
When Tampa resident Jerry Wojcik signed up to receive text message updates from his beloved Buffalo Bills team, he thought he was getting three-to-five texts per week. So, you can imagine his outrage when, over the course of two weeks, he received not one or two but three extra texts. Wojcik is suing the team on the grounds that they had violated the Telephone Consumer Protection Act and demands retribution in the form of "$500 per excessive call for negligent violations and up to $1,500 per call for willful violations." According to Fox Sports, Wojcik continued to receive the texts even after filing his lawsuit.
