eHarmony didn't always permit gay matchups. According to SFGate.com, the company settled a class-action suit in 2008 over its policy of sending users who wanted to meet same-sex partners to a separate site. The agreement means eHarmony is now required "to display its gay and lesbian dating services more prominently."
