Monsanto: Is Your Food In Danger?
Agent Orange
During the Vietnam War, nearly 20 million gallons of Agent Orange were dumped on the Vietnamese countryside, destroying forests and clearing villages of Communist sympathizers. Vietnamese officials estimate that 400,000 people died from exposure to Agent Orange. Veterans with health problems have filed lawsuits against Monsanto and other makers of Agent Orange. Monsanto eventually settled one class action lawsuit out of court but states: "We are sympathetic with people who believe they have been injured but reliable scientific evidence indicates that Agent Orange is not the cause of serious long-term health effects."
