Prostate Cancer Test
Prostate cancer screenings are pretty cheap up front, but often lead to unnecessary follow-up care with steep physical and financial tolls. In May of 2012, a government task force recommended against routine PSA screenings for healthy men over age 40, saying the test did more harm than good by causing doctors to prescribe unnecessary biopsies and treatments that could cause painful complications.
