Checkout Fees

Imagine getting to the register to make a purchase and then finding out that you need to pay an additional fee for using your credit card. That may soon be the case, as retailers have won the right through a class action lawsuit to begin charging a "checkout fee" to consumers who use their credit cards. This is to help retailers recoup some of the cost of processing credit card transactions - a cost that they want to pass along to consumers.
