It's not just sex, drugs and cigarettes that are habit inducing. Ex-FDA Commish David Kessler, M.D. believes that some food has been engineered to be addictive. In his book The End of Overeating, Kessler explains that the combinations of fat, sugar and salt stimulate the brain in such a pleasurable manner that we have become addicted to food in a way that has never been seen before. This combination of stimulants means we have no choice but to keep eating to the point of obesity.
