They're sweet, they're colorful, they're alcoholic -- and they're designed for your innocent little children. At least that's what some people are saying about fruity, malt-alcohol beverages also known as "alcopops." With brightly-hued cans that mimic energy drinks, alcopops -- which are often stocked next to the nonalcoholic energy drinks -- are frequently criticized for being marketed at teenagers. Is the malt beverage industry trying to get kids hooked early? Most of the manufacturers say they are simply making booze for non-beer-drinkers.
