Bathroom Break

In 1929, four years before Hitler took over the German government and initiated the Third Reich, a German soldier planted a bomb under Hitler's podium minutes before the Fuhrer was to give a speech. Because Hitler's speeches usually lasted for hours, the soldier decided to visit the bathroom, certain he'd be back with time to spare to set off the bomb. In possibly the worst-timed bathroom break in history, the soldier became locked in the toilet and failed to get out in time to blow the Fuhrer sky high.
